Bread Winners.
We grew with our aunts mother's uncles working and providing for the family. But my greatest respect for them, they were way different behaved differently compared to our times. No one reminded you when you were touching anything be it food that I bought that, you never heard words like I, my money, mine.
I guess who ever came up with the word: Bread winner 🤔 A Title that says you better than anyone.
In our days people who provides at home make you feel it, I can't buy and then pack it or even cook it, some of the phrase they say
Jesus was Lord but he served God. He never said I m God. Lord I can only be able to tell your people to do, not me but he served God more than the people.
In our days people remind you everytime you eat, you feel it, "uyamina e toilet".
Do you know how much this cost usunyofa nje".
Unemployed people within families are scared to eat because everytime they eat they are reminded who does what. You are seen as lazy. No person can tolerate being called names I don't care how lazy you think they are, the only reason they tolerate being called all sorts of things is because they are trying and things are still not coming together. The moment they do you will realize it was never about being lazy, it was the fact that life was not coming together they were still waiting and hoping.
You find that families get divided even the mother is to scared to reprehend this behavior because she might not get anything. And because of this she ends up having favorite children, favorite grandchildren,
Even the children of the so called bread winners become egotistic you can't tell them anything. Because they know who provides within this family
I grew in a family where my uncles and aunts worked and everytime when it was month end everyone would come carrying groceries and they would pack it even cook it my father use to fry and he would cook and fry meat for everyone it was time around month end. There were no name calling. Bahlaleleni bengizi ukuzothatha iyimpahla. You come out first awumbheke into ayaziyo ileyo ujahu ukuthosa.
We know you work hard and its not easy we also want to do the same. Work for the food we eat.
God help us and help the UN employed within our families akukho lula for us!
